Job Summary
Read and interpret contract provisions to set up accurate project information in the accounting database. Verify and edit project rate schedules, review employee expense reports, and perform electronic timesheet administration procedures. Initiate billing cycles by generating prebill reports, finalizing invoices with required documentation, and submitting them to corporate accounting and clients. Track accounts receivable and payable, assess project revenue variances, and enter percent complete data according to monthly closing schedules. Generate systems reports and maintain all documentation in accordance with branch and corporate policies.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience in project administration and invoicing, preferably in a professional services firm
- an associate degree and two (2) years of experience
- a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the responsibilities of the position
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- basic knowledge of data entry techniques
- Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions, contracts and subcontract agreements, correspondence and memoranda
- Ability to effectively write moderately complex correspondence and memoranda
- Ability to effectively present information to Project Managers, and other internal clients
- Ability to interact professionally and maintain cooperative professional relationships with management and colleagues
