Project Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary
Manage a regional Project Accounting team by overseeing work performance, training staff, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. Drive the team to achieve net $0 under-billed revenue monthly while supporting Project Managers with accounts receivable collection and contract status analysis. Provide ad hoc backup for work overflow, emergency response projects, and peak activity periods, and handle assigned ad hoc projects as needed. Work in excess of regularly scheduled hours and travel overnight when business requires. This role supports regional Project Managers in delivering personalized service to Key accounts under the guidance of the Corporate Controller, CFO, or CEO.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel and web-based software
- Display strong time management, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to understand and analyze components of jobs costs, profit and loss
- Be aware of applicable federal, state and local regulatory standards, including Sales & Use tax regulations applicable to project accounting
- Ability to serve as an outside representative of the Company
- Ability to work in excess of regularly scheduled hours when necessary
- Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs
- Minimum of an Bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in project accounting
- Project accounting and/or financial accounting education and/or experience is a plus
