Job Summary
Lead the Project Accounting team and maintain Standard Operating Procedures while overseeing milestone setup in NetSuite. Drive percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, review project costs, and analyze revenue and COGS variances. Manage month-end close activities, including cost accruals and balance sheet reconciliations, while reconciling projects between NetSuite and Paylocity. Review and approve customer invoices, quotes to sales orders, and assess bad debt allowances. Own the financial integrity of the project portfolio from revenue recognition to collections. Requires 10+ years of project accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of project or construction accounting experience, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition
- 5+ years leading or mentoring an accounting team
- Strong command of month-end close, AR, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Active Texas Notary commission preferred, or willingness to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
- NetSuite familiarity a plus
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort translating data into clear analysis for leadership
