Job Summary
Project Accounting Analyst responsible for invoice processing and collaboration with Project Managers to ensure accurate billable work, maintain WIP, and meet billing milestones. Responsibilities include data entry in ERP systems, discrepancy resolution with internal teams, posting ad hoc journal entries and reconciliations, customer support on invoices, AR coordination for collections, and generating regular/ad hoc invoicing reports and project billingStatus. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business and 1–3 years of project-based billing experience; proficiency with ERP systems (Workday, Oracle, SAP) and strong Excel skills; detail-oriented, analytical, and able to communicate across departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration
- 1 – 3 years of experience in project-based billing, preferably in consulting, engineering, or environmental services
- Knowledge of standard accounting concepts, practices and procedures
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, SAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and with external clients
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
