Job Summary
Project Accountant role within the construction division finance team focused on managing job cost projections, billings, coordinating with AP and Subcontract departments for monthly billings to Owner, ensuring timely receivables/payables, understanding owner and subcontractor contracts for accurate progress billings and payments, maintaining standard cost codes, communicating with funding agencies regarding pay applications, preparing monthly invoice packages for billable projects, leading monthly accounting meetings with project management, investigating variances and submitting variance reports, overseeing project billings to customers, reviewing budgets and staffing, ensuring smooth cash flow through auditing and invoicing, producing and reviewing job cost reports, and supporting division controllers. Requires GAAP knowledge, experience in accounting/finance, and strong Excel/Office skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or accounting from an accredited institution
- Two (2) to five (5) years professional experience in accounting and financial analysis
- Accounting knowledge including GAAP
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
