Job Summary
Serve as the primary financial liaison to assigned Vice Presidents, leading monthly performance reviews that analyze actuals versus budgets, labor utilization, and forecast accuracy. Develop and maintain Estimate-to-Complete and Estimate-at-Completion models to ensure accurate project forecasting, while delivering weekly KPI dashboards tracking budget burn, margin trends, and backlog health. Monitor unbilled labor and expenses, ensuring timely resolution through Extra Work Authorizations, and validate project setups in Deltek Vantagepoint for accurate budgeting and phases. Partner with billing specialists to verify invoicing and coordinate with project coordinators on scheduling readiness, presenting financial updates in leadership meetings. Utilize Power BI and Smartsheet to promote visual dashboards and support continuous improvement of financial systems through standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query)
- Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint, Power BI, and financial reporting systems
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey financial concepts to non-financial audiences
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on building relationships and influencing decisions
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or business partnership, preferably in the AEC industry
- Experience with project-based ERP systems (Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior exposure to engineering, architecture, or construction financial management is preferred
