Job Summary
Project Accountant sought to support financial management of active construction projects in the Austin market. Responsibilities include managing job cost accounting for multiple active projects; preparing and submitting progress billings (AIA / percentage-of-completion); tracking budgets, change orders, and cost-to-complete reporting; reviewing subcontractor pay applications and lien waivers; assisting with WIP schedules and month-end close; reconciling project-related accounts and supporting audit requests. Requires 3+ years of project accounting experience in construction or related industry, strong understanding of job cost accounting and progress billing, experience with construction ERP systems (Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar), Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, cost analysis), and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Jointly building a pipeline for current and future opportunities in the Austin market.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of project accounting experience in construction or related industry
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting and progress billing
- Experience with construction ERP systems (Sage, Viewpoint, CMiC, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, cost analysis)
