Job Summary
The Project Accountant will lead financial administration for multiple projects, coordinating with Project Managers, Engineers, and Executives to ensure financial compliance, track expenditures, manage invoicing, and oversee accounts payable/receivable. Responsibilities include setting up project financial administration (budgets, expenditures), managing cash flow, identifying financial risks, supervising monthly billing and revenue recognition, administering AP/AR, assisting with month-end close and project cost reports, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and supporting other accounting functions as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 2 years of accounting experience, proficiency with ERP systems (Deltek a plus) and Excel, and strong communication and collaborative skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business related field
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience with cost analysis, billing rate audits, and financial forecasting
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
