Job Summary
Monitor project financial performance by tracking budget-to-actuals, cost utilization, and margins. Prepare monthly financial reports highlighting variances and support forecasting with updated revenue and cost projections. Issue accurate client invoices based on contractual terms and review timesheets, expenses, and subcontractor invoices prior to billing. Perform monthly revenue recognition calculations, investigate billing discrepancies, and partner with Project Managers to analyze performance and recommend adjustments. Conduct project closeout activities including final invoicing, budget reconciliation, and documentation archiving. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and industry accounting standards while supporting internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- An advanced English level
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar project accounting role
- Hands-on experience with Deltek Vantagepoint (ERP system)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including data analysis tools such as pivot tables and formulas)
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles, including revenue recognition and cost tracking
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to quickly adapt and hit the ground running in a short-term coverage role
- Available to work on Eastern Standard Time (EST)
