Job Summary
Project Accountant responsible for invoicing, project setup, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and related financial/accounting tasks across NEI’s project portfolio. Collaborates with project managers and clients to align invoicing, completes lien waivers and payment applications, reviews SOVs, maintains ERP data integrity (revenue methods, project structure, cost tracking), and supports annual audits. Requires strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage a diversely paced workload in a fast-moving environment. Notably, proficiency with ERP systems (Deltek Vantagepoint preferred), ASC 606, and Excel/Office is important; a college degree in accounting/finance is preferred; legal US work authorization is required. Hybrid work environment with remote flexibility; minimal travel. Knowledge of project accounting within architecture, engineering, or construction is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as Project Accountant in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry
- Experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition is highly preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint is highly preferential, proficiency/experience with other Deltek software products is highly advantageous
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word with a positive attitude towards new technology
- College degree preferred in accounting, finance, and related fields
- Must be able to legally work in the United States
- Must have a positive, “can do” attitude
