Job Summary
Partner with project managers, clients, and sub-consultants to prepare monthly invoices based on contract requirements. Review and interpret contract terms to establish budgets and billing terms, while validating and processing high volumes of consultant invoices to ensure accurate cost recording. Maintain organized finance project files, audit teammate work, and assist with timesheet collection or special projects as they arise. Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements for continuous improvement. This role is based in Columbus, OH or Seattle, WA, with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- A minimum of 3 years of project cost accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions
- Solid grasp of project financial performance, including revenue and profitability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond to clients and team members in a professional and timely manner
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and follow through
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines
- Comfortable working both independently and in a collaborative environment
- Where You Will Work This role is available in our Columbus, OH or Seattle, WA office
- NBBJ is an office first firm, with an expectation that all staff are able to be present in the office a minimum of 4 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Strong MS Excel skills with proficiency in Word, Outlook and Adobe; experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint is a plus
