Job Summary
Monitor and analyze project financial data, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, to identify trends, cost overruns, and financial risks. Generate financial reports and dashboards, prepare variance analysis, and partner with project managers to establish budgets and submit accurate invoices based on milestones. Authorize account access, verify contract and change order characteristics, and maintain quality control standards for all financial records. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies while communicating billing inquiries to clients. Stay updated on best practices to streamline processes and enhance financial management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field (or demonstrated proven equivalent experience)
- At least 5 years Previous experience in project accounting or related financial roles
- Proficiency with technical writing, office automation and accounting software, technology, math principles, spreadsheets, MS Excel, pivot tables, formulas, data format/sort/filter, VLOOKUP, predictive models, and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a dynamic project environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Deltek Vantagepoint preferred
