Project Accountant

Job Summary
The Project Accountant will manage job cost, accounts payable/receivable, and subcontract processes for construction projects, set up new jobs and budgets, handle invoicing and progress billing with subcontractors, coordinate with Project Managers on status reports, and ensure financial data remains in sync across PMWeb, JD Edwards, DataServ, and Textura. Key duties include setting up prime contracts and subcontracts, monitoring change orders, preparing and processing invoices with lien waivers and owner-required schedules, and assisting with audits and supplier/payable inquiries. Requires an associate degree (or pursuit toward BS/BA in Accounting) and 2-3 years of construction accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and solid communication and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates and working towards a BS/BA in Accounting
- 2-3 years accounting experience with a General Contractor/Subcontract
- Proficient in Excel
- Need good communication and organizational skills
- JD Edwards experience a plus
