Job Summary
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting status changes. Perform pre-operative and post-operative nursing care in collaboration with medical providers. Document care administration in patient medical records and administer prescribed medications while monitoring responses. Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients. This role supports TriStar Summit Medical Center's commitment to patient-centered care at a 230+ bed facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. The team includes a Level III Trauma Center and offers acute services in cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state
- BLS required, and must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- ACLS with 30 days of hire
- NIHSS Stroke Certification within 30 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- At least one-year clinical nursing preferred
