Job Summary
Manage and supervise operations for Ski and Ride School specialty programs, including Kids Club, S.E.S., and Blackpackers. Schedule and oversee 30+ staff members for full-range programs and 3+ indoor staff, while supervising 25+ professionals on daily operations and class distribution. Enforce company policies, coach and evaluate instructors, and act as the primary contact for guest and parent inquiries. Independently develop business opportunities, facilitate current programs, and train staff to reduce accidents and incidents. Handle guest concerns and complaints with timely, satisfactory outcomes. Assist in developing future programs and ensure adherence to sustainability guidelines. Available for weekend and holiday shifts in a high-altitude, snowy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Three years Ski and Ride School instruction
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively and efficiently use scheduling and inventory software (RTP, Flaik)
- Must be available on weekends and holidays
- Must provide own ski or snowboard equipment and other necessary gear to work outside in a high-alpine, snowy, and cold environment
- This position requires successful completion of a background check
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- Current with PSIA-AASI, Level 2 Certification
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, push, pull and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to be in ski gear and potentially skiing for 3 hours
- Ability to withstand high altitude conditions at all times
- Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours on potentially snowy and icy surfaces
- Ability to consistently work outside in a high-altitude environment which may include extreme cold and wet/humid conditions
- Ability to work in a highly trafficked and loud area in view of guests
- Ability to perform face to face, phone and email guest interaction continuously
Desired Qualifications
- Organizational leadership experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, guest service, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and ability to self-direct while performing multiple tasks
- Current with PSIA-AASI, CS1
