Job Summary
Programs Manager for the Department of Rehabilitation Services oversees the Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired unit (SBVI) in the North Central and Northeast regions, supervising professional and support staff delivering Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services to Oklahomans with blindness and low vision. Responsibilities include directing program activities, supervising staff, assigning leadership duties, conducting quarterly unit meetings, evaluating workload, interpreting agency rules and policies, compiling reports, conducting administrative audits, and ensuring accountability. Preferred qualifications include LPC, CRC, CVRT credentials, Braille and ASL proficiency, and a master’s degree with relevant experience. Travel to job sites within the district is expected; effective communication, policy interpretation, and interagency collaboration are required.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree and professional experience in related field; Level II requires master’s degree and one year of professional experience or bachelor’s degree with two years of professional experience; Level III requires master’s degree and two years of professional experience or bachelor’s degree with three years of professional experience; preferred credentials include LPC, CRC, CVRT and experience in counseling; ability to travel; written and oral communication skills; knowledge of agency policies and state/federal regulations; supervisory abilities.
