Job Summary
Assist with event-related research, outreach, and planning while supporting interdepartmental communication regarding event logistics. Attend webinars, roundtables, and panels to take notes and analyze event data to identify new public engagement opportunities. Handle administrative and operational tasks as needed for MEI's programs and events department. This unpaid Fall 2026 internship runs from September 8 to December 11, requiring a minimum of 15–20 hours per week onsite at 1763 N Street NW in Washington DC.
Required Qualifications
- Enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor's program in International Relations, Political Science, Middle East Studies, Communications, Management, or a related field
- Strong demonstrated interest in the Middle East and event planning
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and multitasking skills
- Experience in event management, marketing, and outreach/communications
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Salesforce or other CRM experience
