Job Summary
Programming Teacher provides part-time, in-person coding instruction in New York. Plan and facilitate collaborative coding instructional sessions using languages such as Scratch, Blockly, Swift, and Python, and work with robotics/tools (e.g., Ozobot, Sphero, drones). Meets regularly with the Director of Educational Development, plans and facilitates learning sessions, helps students develop computer science and coding skills, maintains regular communication with leadership, models appropriate academic and social behaviors, and performs additional duties as assigned. Must be able to instruct students of varying skill levels in multiple programs, collect and analyze data to drive future instruction, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills. A bachelor’s degree with teaching/tutoring experience and extensive CS/coding experience are required.
