Job Summary
Develop and maintain enterprise applications and databases using Natural/ADABAS and SQL while supporting mission-critical Human Services systems. Manage the complete Software Development Life Cycle, including design, analysis, coding, QA testing, implementation, and maintenance. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and design technical solutions. Participate in an on-call rotation for production support. Requires 10+ years of experience with Natural/ADABAS and SQL, plus 7+ years supporting State Department of Human Services Systems. Join the EBT/EFITS Team at the State of Mississippi Department of Human Services in Jackson, Mississippi.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with Natural/ADABAS development
- Strong experience with SQL Development
- Experience with SCL in a Linux environment
- Advanced experience designing, developing, and enhancing large enterprise applications using Natural
- Strong SQL query development skills
- Experience gathering business requirements and designing technical solutions
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including design, analysis, coding, QA testing, implementation, and maintenance
- 7+ years of experience supporting State Department of Human Services Systems
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation
- 100% Onsite in Jackson, Mississippi
- Fingerprint Background Check Required
- Participation in On-Call Rotation is mandatory

- Linux / Unix administration knowledge
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, SAFe, XP)
- QA Testing
- Experience with State Human Services applications
- Experience with State Department of Human Services Systems is highly preferred
