Job Summary
Develop and deploy data cleaning, processing pipelines, and management protocols for electronic health records, administrative claims, and environmental exposure data using GitHub. Maintain databases in R, Python, and SQL while creating customized analytic datasets in UNIX environments. Debug programs, troubleshoot HPC cluster issues, and refactor modular data processing pipelines with workflow languages. Build deployable data products using containers and support data cataloging via JSON-based metadata schemas. Perform data exploration for environmental health research and function as a resource for the Senior Programmer.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years post-secondary experience
- Professional working experience with R
- Professional working experience with Python
- Professional working experience with SQL
- Professional working experience with GitHub
- Professional working experience with related software
- Knowledge of maintenance and support of IT infrastructure systems within a HPC cluster environment
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Efficiency and time management skills
- Organized with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience collaborating with all levels of research team
- Demonstrated team performance skills
- Service oriented mindset and approach
- Must be able to effectively perform duties at a non-Harvard location
- Must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, or other health data related field
- Desirable experience with version control for team development
