Job Summary
Public Health Programmer Analyst (SAS or R) supporting CDC in Atlanta, GA. Remote role with occasional in-person meetings; responsibilities include developing SAS programs to validate surveillance/clinical/research data, ensuring dataset completeness, identifying data discrepancies, creating codebooks and data management plans, running data quality procedures, conducting geospatial and molecular HIV analyses in R, collaborating with analysts to develop new code, and supporting data dissemination to internal and external partners. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in public health, statistics, or related field and 2 years of SAS/R experience; NAC clearance eligible. Preferred: HIV surveillance experience, CDC/HHS experience, and advanced degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, statistics, or related field
- 2 years of experience working with R or SAS
- Demonstrated ability to work with multiple data sources to monitor and assess data quality (accuracy and completeness)
- Strong experience with SAS; familiarity with R coding
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Must be able to obtain a NAC clearance
