Job Summary
Administer and maintain BuildLACCD computer networks across the PMO and nine campus sites, managing routers, firewalls, LANs, WANs, and server environments. Configure, install, and upgrade operating systems, application software, and network devices while ensuring system uptime and availability. Respond to Level 2 and 3 helpdesk tickets, investigate network outages, and perform root cause analysis to recommend corrective actions and performance improvements. Oversee disaster recovery systems, maintain security protocols, and develop standard operating procedures for the team. This full-time position supports the Los Angeles Community College District's IT infrastructure with a focus on network security, scalability, and efficient service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college with a degree in computer science or related field
- Additional four years qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows

- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Services
- Familiarity with Entra ID
- Familiarity with Office 365
- Familiarity with document SharePoint management system
- Experience with VPN Appliances
- Experience with Cisco Meraki Appliances
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus
- Working knowledge of CrowdStrike
- Working knowledge of Zoom Administration
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Working knowledge of network security including VPNs
- Working knowledge of network security including ACLs

- Ability to develop scripted solutions to automate and/or simplify manual administrative processes and procedures
