Job Summary
Programmer Analyst II in Clinical Research, fully remote, focused on bioinformatics programming for statistical and computational aspects of clinical research. Responsibilities include independently developing, executing, maintaining, and validating programs to transfer and integrate data across data management systems, generating and validating outputs (lists, tables, figures) using SAS, and preparing analyses of clinical trial datasets (laboratory, vital signs, tumor response, imaging, quality of life, adverse events). Acts as programming lead on simple to moderate studies under supervision, collaborates with researchers and multi-disciplinary teams to propose technology-based solutions, and contributes to training materials and SOP adherence. Requires strong programming skills, knowledge of relational databases, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple assignments with changing priorities; willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Education requirements include an MS/MA or a relevant Bachelor's with substantial experience.
Required Qualifications
- MS/MA degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field OR Bachelor's degree in same fields with at least 3 years of related experience
- Proficiency in SAS and standard tools/processes
- Solid understanding of relational database structures and complex data systems
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to independently create, execute, maintain, and validate programs that transfer data across data management systems
