Job Summary
Programme Specialist responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ONU Femmes Niger interventions in women’s economic empowerment within peace and humanitarian action contexts. The role involves strategic planning, proposal development, coordination with government authorities, UN partners, and donors; oversight of annual workplans and budgets; supervising technical teams; ensuring results-based management and robust reporting; and providing technical guidance to partners. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant international development experience, with demonstrated leadership and program-management capabilities. The position reports to the Programme Management Specialist and engages with government authorities, donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and civil society to achieve measurable outcomes for women and girls.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender studies/in gender or development studies or a related field
- At least 5 years progressively responsible professional experience in design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects
- Technical experience in women’s economic empowerment in peace/humanitarian contexts
- Experience supervising staff in an international environment
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel and database management
