Job Summary
Manage projects supporting the West Africa Observatory by planning, implementing, and tracking team work with independence and accountability. Ensure timely invoice and payment management, complete procurement documentation per policy, and manage project budgets and financial forecasts. Coordinate narrative reporting, arrange meetings and events, and support staff travel while liaising between team members and grant liaisons to meet funder audit requirements. Identify new funding opportunities, prepare proposals, and renew existing financing to ensure team sustainability. Provide training and mentorship to local civil society organizations on project management and donor reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in administration or project management
- Advanced budget management and financial forecasting skills
- Fluent in English and French
- Proficiency in using the latest Microsoft software especially MS Word and MS Excel
- Good communication skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Problem-solving attitude
- Proactive and ability to think ahead
- Motivated and enthusiastic to work in a fast-paced environment
- A degree in business administration/project management preferred
