Job Summary
Programme Lead for Pharmaceutical Drug Delivery systems who guides complex development programmes from concept to transfer-to-manufacture, balancing technical, regulatory, and commercial challenges. Leads multidisciplinary teams in injectable device development, infusion pumps, microcatheters and active implants, with a focus on strategic proposals, client engagement, risk management, and delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes. Strong leadership, deep mechanical/systems engineering expertise, and ability to shape proposals and win follow-on work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. Requires willingness to travel for in-person client engagements and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical engineering experience in the medical device sector, preferably pharmaceutical injectable drug delivery device development and manufacture
- proven track record of leading complex, high-volume development programmes from concept through transfer to manufacturing
- strong fundamentals in mechanical and systems engineering
- excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in strategic account management
- experience guiding multidisciplinary teams with rigour, agility, and care; mentoring and coaching others
- understanding of the current pharmaceutical drug delivery market and evolving regulatory and commercial demands
- willingness to travel for in-person meetings and client engagements
