Job Summary
Programme Analyst for FP and RHCS collaborates with the SRH&RR unit and government partners to enhance family planning and RHCS initiatives in Eritrea. Responsibilities include formulation/design of country programmes and annual work plans, monitoring and evaluation, forecasting and supply planning for RH/FP commodities, stock monitoring, advocacy and resource mobilization, budget preparation and financial reporting, stakeholder engagement with government counterparts and donors, and capacity building of partners to strengthen supply chain systems and data use. The role involves coordination across UNFPA Eritrea, regional offices and UNCT, data analysis from censuses and surveys, and ensuring alignment with UNFPA mandates and current development topics in Eritrea. Languages requirement specifies English proficiency. The role emphasizes project management, partnerships, and delivering results within RHCS and family planning domains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, population, gender, development, supply chain and logistics, demography, law, or related social science with a minimum of 4 years of professional expertise in development and population sectors; or Master's degree with at least two years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights is preferred
- Experience in Supply Chain Management
- Specialized knowledge and experience in RHCS and Family Planning is desired
- Experience in programme/project management including experience in large multi-sector programmes
- Field experience is an asset
- Prior experience in the UN system is an asset
- Fluency in oral and written English
