Job Summary
Program Underwriter-Construction responsible for managing and growing a profitable Construction book of General Liability and Auto policies, underwriting within guidelines, rating, quoting, binding, servicing, and maintaining producer relationships. Role involves evaluating new/renewal applications, endorsements, and documents; providing technical underwriting support; making individual underwriting decisions; negotiating with brokers and carriers; communicating with agents, clients, and internal staff; and coordinating with third-party vendors. Key duties include developing marketing strategies, visiting brokers/clients to enhance opportunities, and promoting production growth. Requires experience in construction underwriting, strong relationship skills with agencies and carriers, and ability to operate within underwriting authority. Office location can be Red Bank, NJ with time in office for meetings or remote work within Greater NY or NJ area; hybrid arrangement applies.”,
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- Three plus years of construction related underwriting experience or experience with GL and construction highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with both agencies and carriers
