Job Summary
Provide administrative support to WIC staff and participants by coordinating activities that support access to program benefits. Complete office management tasks including ordering supplies, managing shared email and fax, sending mail, maintaining records, and assisting with onboarding new district office staff. Serve as the first point of contact for the district office via phone, email, and in-person interactions with families, vendors, and community partners. Deliver culturally sensitive and inclusive services, including frequent coordination of telephonic and in-person language interpretation. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure accurate, timely, and participant-centered services while adhering to federal and state regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Two years or more of full-time college coursework OR Associate's degree or higher
- Three (3) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration
- High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience above a technical level in program administration
- Two (2) years or more of experience as a Program Technician II with the State of Vermont
- Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position
- Vermont and/or national criminal record checks
- DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks
- Strict adherence to federal and state regulations, including HIPAA confidentiality requirements
- Compliance with all WIC program guidelines
- Private means of travel should be available for occasional travel
- Some evening and weekend duty may be necessary
