Job Summary
Program Support Specialist responsible for crisis intervention support and liaison with respect to program implementation and operational matters; provides professional guidance and support to client constituencies. Key duties include crisis intervention/behavior management for students, assisting teaching teams with problem areas, developing behavior plans, classroom and campus coverage, providing orientation to new students, documenting incidents per agency policy, supervising community and residential students, distributing Daily Logs to teachers, monitoring the DVS behavior intervention program, and reporting serious incidents to school districts per policy. Requires ability to commute to various sites on campus and to physically restrain children; DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Index checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 2 years of prior Experience Working with Children and performing crisis intervention
- Word Processing
- Excellent Writing Skills
- General Office Skills
- Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
- Ability to commute to various sites on campus
- Ability to physically restrain children
- DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
- Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance
