Job Summary
Ensure health, safety, and habilitation of supported individuals consistent with agency philosophy and department practices. Provide program and floor coverage while maintaining appropriate, therapeutically documented supervision levels. Lead interdisciplinary and staff meetings to facilitate effective communication, foster professional development through regular supervision and training, and maintain direct relationships with families. Oversee financial systems, manage program expenditures within budgetary guidelines, and ensure completion of all required paperwork including medical, treatment, and incident reports. Maintain a safe environment by reporting hazardous conditions and actively participate in the hiring process to select appropriate staff.
Required Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience
- Prior Direct Support Professional experience
- Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed writing skills
- Takes initiative
- Highly flexible personality type
- Valid Driver's License
- Flexibility to respond to calls and programmatic needs beyond regular work hours
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn/use Workforce Management software to effectively carry out essential business processes
Desired Qualifications
- BA/BS strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License preferred depending on location
