Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise one or more programs, providing oversight of administration, implementation of work plans, and budgets. Manage fiscal accounting, track expenses, recommend budget revisions, and generate internal and external progress reports. Oversee staff supervision, facilitate meetings, and serve as a liaison with community agencies and local government. Participate in grant writing, complete evaluation processes, and conduct quarterly internal audits. Perform direct services as required and attend educational programs to enhance professional growth. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Bachelor's degree, bilingual English/Spanish, and two years of related experience in substance use prevention or public policy required. Valid California driver's license and vehicle insurance mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Minimum of two years' related experience in public policy, community health, health education, community organizing, substance use prevention or related field
- Valid California driver's license and vehicle insurance
- Reliable transportation, to travel for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes
- Minimum two years' driving experience
- No more than two violations or a single ticket/accident valued at more than one point on driving record
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Ability to interact with all VCC personnel and the public in a professional manner
- Ability to track and manage time and budgets effectively
- Ability to plan and facilitate internal and community meetings
- Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
