Job Summary
Program Supervisor overseeing direct care staff in a residential program, responsible for implementing Individual Support Plans, ensuring adequate staffing, supervising and evaluating Direct Care Counselors, coordinating with the Program Director, and facilitating team/ISP meetings. Key duties include developing staffing schedules, processing vacation/sick accruals, handling vacancies, conducting performance evaluations, participating in team and family liaison activities, ensuring completion of medical appointments and program documentation, maintaining regulatory compliance with DPW standards, managing petty cash, training staff, and ensuring staff meet mandatory training targets. Required knowledge includes care of individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities, ability to supervise staff, and strong documentation practices. Education preferred: Bachelor’s degree; experience with handicapped individuals and supervisory roles; valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Human Services
- At least one (1) year experience working with handicapped individuals
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Current and Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of the practical aspects of training and care of individuals with mental health and physical & developmental disabilities
- Ability to implement written Individual Support Plans and Behavioral programs
- Ability to write complete residential monthlies and quarterlies
- Ability to supervise and manage staff
- Ability to manage the details of running a household
- Maintain accurate and complete records
- Communicate effectively with professional staff and medical personnel
- Must be able to verbally and physically manage residents
- Knowledge of county and state regulations including the Department of Public Welfare
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Maintain a current valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record
