Job Summary

Coordinate daily camp events and program activities while supervising 5-45 seasonal staff, including interviewing, training, appraising performance, and resolving complaints. Lead weekly site inspections, manage equipment inventories, and ensure compliance with safety standards and ACA regulations. Recruit seasonal Program Staff, develop activity manuals, and facilitate training for program areas. Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification and communicate effectively with employees, coworkers, and stakeholders. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to support the full-time, non-exempt role at a newly opening Camp For All location.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to travel to either of the Camp For All locations
  • Must be able to work in a non-exempt employment classification
  • Must be able to work full-time
  • Must be able to work in a location to be determined
  • Must be able to work in a growing program
  • Must be able to work in expanding operations
  • Must be able to coordinate all program activities
  • Must be able to ensure Partner groups have a successful experience at Camp For All
  • Must be able to create and maintain a professional environment
  • Must be able to carry out supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be able to supervise a total of 5-45 seasonal program staff
  • Must be able to interview and train employees
  • Must be able to plan, assign, and direct work
  • Must be able to appraise performance
  • Must be able to reward and discipline employees
  • Must be able to address complaints and resolve problems
  • Must be able to develop, evaluate, document, and implement daily Camp events and program activities
  • Must be able to actively recruit seasonal Program Staff throughout the year
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, coworkers, and other stakeholders
  • Must be able to evaluate inventories and order equipment and supplies for Program department
  • Must be able to create, document, and maintain activity manuals
  • Must be able to initiate, investigate, and document weekly camp and activity site inspections
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must be able to assist in implementing and maintaining records or safety standards
  • Must be able to communicate with groups to effectively facilitate an enjoyable camping experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification
  • Must be able to assist in organizing, documenting, teaching, coordinating, and/or supervising program area training for Program Staff
  • Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
