Job Summary
Lead and supervise Youth Mentors and Youth Care Workers within a residential behavioral health program, ensuring a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment and high-quality care. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, coaching staff, maintaining routines and clear documentation, responding to crises with de-escalation strategies, collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team, and upholding staff accountability and program fidelity.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with youth or behavioral health populations
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Age 21 or older
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to structure, consistency, and accountability
- Understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and respond to crisis situations
