Job Summary
Develop and operate specific functions of the supported living program for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late Deafened Community. Manage and supervise staff while working alongside the Director to ensure objectives are met and operations stay within budgetary limits. Participate in office management tasks and provide backup support in other programs. Requires fluency in American Sign Language, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to residential settings and community organizations. Full-time role with Monday-Friday hours and occasional evening/weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Working knowledge of Deaf culture
- Bachelor's Degree with seven years of related experience
- Masters Degree with 5 years of related experience
- At least one year of experience in a supervisor role
- Demonstrated completion of an approved supervisory training program
- Valid driver's license
- Good driving record
- Use of vehicle
- Willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle
- Ability to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, offices, and community organization
- Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be available for regular travel to the Berkshires
