Job Summary
Program Specialist IV at the Florida Department of Education leads high-level tasks to align CTE curriculum with workforce needs. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and aligning Career and Technical Education curriculum frameworks; facilitating program reviews and stakeholder engagement with districts, colleges, state agencies, and industry partners; conducting labor market research to validate new or modified programs; reviewing and aligning industry certifications and articulation agreements; coordinating grant-related and special projects within the CTE context; and performing other duties as assigned. The role requires travel for statewide activities and involves presenting information to diverse audiences, ensuring instructional practices are rigorous and outcomes-focused.
Required Qualifications
- Four to six years of professional experience working in or with Career and Technical Education (CTE), curriculum development, or the Arts, A/V Technology, or Information Technology industry sectors.
- Experience in creating, conducting, or facilitating professional training courses, working groups, or stakeholder meetings.
- Experience with public speaking and presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to travel for statewide program reviews, stakeholder meetings, and conferences.
