Job Summary
The Region 9 Apprenticeship Training Representative (ATR) for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties promotes, develops, services, and monitors registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs with public or private sponsorship, ensuring adherence to applicable state and federal rules; coordinates with One Stop Centers to provide apprenticeship information to job seekers and utilizes on-site visits to establish and maintain program standards, wage surveys, and registrations; provides technical assistance, conducts program evaluations, and administers federal and state grants; Maintains records, supports program development and monitoring, and communicates with employers, educational agencies, and governmental partners to advance high-skill, high-wage employment opportunities; travel within Florida for program oversight is required; duties include promoting programs, inspecting facilities or work sites, assisting in program standard development and registration, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two to six years of professional experience working in Registered Apprenticeship or Preapprenticeship
- Ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication
- Ability to travel regularly within Miami, and occasionally within other cities and counties in Florida
- An associate’s degree from an accredited college
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University
- Related work experience may not substitute for any licensure, certification, or registration required by an agency and indicated in the advertised job description
