Job Summary
Assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents, managing activities of daily living and maintaining a safe environment. Responsible for crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call duties as needed. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with experience in psychiatric treatment being preferred, and must complete CPR and CPI training shortly after employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field
- Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Child growth and development education required
- CPR - BLS within 60 days of start date
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 60 days of start date
Additional Requirements
- Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college
