Job Summary
Entry-level Program Specialist I within CAN Community Health’s Education & Prevention Team, performing HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing, risk-reduction counseling, PrEP/HIV and Hep C linkage, health education, and community outreach in clinic and community settings (including phlebotomy). Responsibilities include accurate documentation in EMR and state systems, HIPAA compliance, developing community partnerships, coordinating events (testing, tabling, education), distributing condoms and materials, and representing CAN Community Health at meetings/conferences. Requires ability to work outside normal hours including nights and weekends; high school diploma; motor vehicle operation with valid license; background checks. Experience with outreach to diverse settings (shelters, bars, inpatient centers, resource centers, parks) and collaboration across disciplines is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in related field preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Must pass Level I and II Background checks
