Job Summary
Lead development and maintenance of quality Scouting programs in underserved communities by engaging Scouts in active activities and managing parents and potential leaders. Oversee 10–15 Scouts daily while delivering after-school and evening meetings, 15–20 hours per week. Revise or develop weekly program plans using provided materials to meet Scout needs, ensuring all activities align with Scouting America's Mission Statement and Cradle of Liberty Council policies. Attend mandatory orientation, staff meetings, and training sessions. Maintain compliance with background checks and PA clearances. Contact Colby.Broaddus@Scouting.org for inquiries.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a background check and submit required PA clearances
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be available for after school hours (2 - 5pm) and evening meetings
- Must be able to oversee 10 – 15 Scouts per day
- Must be able to wear a Scout uniform shirt or staff shirt at all meetings and activities involving youth
