Job Summary
Program Specialist responsible for interviewing and matching mentors (Bigs) with mentees (Littles) across community-, site-, and school-based programs. Responsibilities include assessing strengths and needs, coordinating matches, using coaching to support safe, healthy mentoring relationships, adhering to BBBSNM standards and manual, entering data into case management databases, monitoring match relationships and addressing concerns, collecting surveys, planning activities, and supporting program growth. Travel throughout Taos, Penasco, and surrounding counties and occasional regional travel; outreach to raise awareness, develop partnerships with private/public/tribal entities, maintain MOUs with schools, recruit volunteer mentors, and ensure smooth enrollment and match support. Requires strong communication, confidentiality, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders; preferred bilingual (English/Spanish) and experience with youth and adult populations. Office-based with significant travel throughout New Mexico.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and one of the following: a) bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field, or be within six months of degree completion; b) associate degree or two years of higher education plus two years of related work experience; c) four years of relevant work experience in related fields
