Job Summary

Complete staff evaluations, monitor residential budgets, and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage. Monitor fiscal, medical, and Individualized Health Plan documentation for accuracy while participating in Circle(s) of Support for personal future planning. Assist in maintaining consumer finances, schedule house and vehicle maintenance, and prepare progress reports for support groups, families, and case managers. Serve as an active member of Inter-Disciplinary Teams for Individual Habilitation Plan development and submit monthly operational status reports. Ensure consistent service delivery connecting work, home, and recreational needs, with flexibility to perform direct support duties as staffing requires.

Required Qualifications

  • A master's degree or above from an accredited college or university
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • An associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university
  • 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
  • 2 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
  • 4 years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Complete all state and agency required training per state guidelines
  • Team-oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to handle the pressure of training in a public environment
  • Must be able to exercise patience
  • Must be able to work with flexible schedules
  • Must be able to respond to crisis situations
  • Ingenuity and creativity must be utilized when determining the best training methods, assistance, and supports for an individual with developmental disabilities
