Job Summary
Program Security Officer 3 in Reston, VA supports government and program security activities by advising on security issues across locations, managing classification, information systems, personnel and physical security, delivering trainings and briefings, developing security policies and procedures, and guiding security decisions for leadership. Requires extensive experience with IC/NRO directives, risk-managed security recommendations, and ability to work travel up to 25% (CONUS/OCONUS). and TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma and 12+ years of relevant security experience or Associates degree and 10+ years of relevant security experience or Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant security experience or Masters/Doctorate and 6+ years of relevant security experience
- Ability to work high-level, complex or sensitive security issues thoroughly and with discretion
- Demonstrated ability to identify and assess multiple sources for classification determinations control, marking, and dissemination principles and requirements such as FOIA and Pre-publication reviews
- Substantive experience providing risk-managed security recommendations to program managers, in support of secure and successful mission accomplishment
- Familiarity with ICD 503 and 705
- Knowledge of program protection methodologies and risk management principles as they relate to appropriately protecting and sharing information, missions, operations, and assets
- Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives or NRO Directives and Instructions
- Security Program Oversight Manual (NISPOM) security policy and procedures
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph
- Physical requirements: must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Must be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to deliver presentations and effectively exchange information with co-workers, management, and customers
