Job Summary
Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules supporting the full program lifecycle, creating executable schedules aligned with customer requirements, manufacturing capacity, and material availability. Establish baselines, lead planning sessions, and perform trend, variance, and critical path analysis to identify risks and develop recovery plans. Generate metrics, reports, and dashboards for program leadership while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure schedule feasibility. Utilize Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional, and EPM tools to integrate schedules with ERP/MRP systems. This hybrid role in El Segundo involves onsite travel of one to two weeks monthly for a consultant supporting a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing client.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum 3 years of experience in program scheduling, manufacturing scheduling, production planning, or project scheduling within an aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and EIA-748 scheduling principles as pertaining to government contracts
- Experience performing Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated project or production schedules
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional, Enterprise Project Management tools, or similar scheduling software
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to analyze schedule data and generate reports
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be available for travel onsite for approximately one to two weeks each month
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Five or more years of progressively responsible scheduling experience supporting complex aerospace or defense programs
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule constraints to achieve program objectives
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community programs
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP/MRP systems, or Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) software
- Experience supporting complex or low-rate aerospace manufacturing environments
- Professional certifications such as AACE, PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent
