Job Summary
Lead root cause analysis and implement closed loop process controls to improve product predictability within the Standard Missile 3 Block IIA production facilities. Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams and Quality & Mission Assurance to drive continuous improvement in nonconformance resolution and assess technical risks of change requests. Facilitate corrective actions, verify requirements compliance, and develop partnerships to ensure delivered products meet customer and Raytheon standards. Participate in cross-functional teams to plan production events and drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology throughout the facility. Requires an active Secret DoD clearance, a STEM degree, and 2+ years of quality engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Active and existing security clearance
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Operations
- Experience using AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience using root cause and corrective action tools
- Experience in development/usage of quality metrics to drive long-term corrective action
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Missile Defense Agency programs
- Experience with factory systems and software (e.g., PRISM, SAP, CABS, RCAS, and Windchill)
- Previous experience with SM-3 hardware and suppliers
- Six Sigma and/or ASQ Certifications
- Product development in a DoD environment
- Experience implementing APQP methodology
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
