Job Summary

Lead implementation of quality improvement projects to advance the mandate of Michener's Academic Programs, including accreditation submissions, program reviews, and PEQAB application management. Advise Academic Chairs on internal and external development requirements while providing project management support for new program launches and cyclical activities like HR Planning. Coordinate workflows, prepare quality assurance templates, and build automated processes using Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate to deliver actionable insights. Compile analytical summaries to support strategic planning and streamline institutional processes. Represent the Centre for Program Review and Accreditation at institutional meetings and manage stakeholder communications across academic and non-academic teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Education, or equivalent
  • Five (5) to nine (9) years of relevant post-secondary experience in continuous professional learning and/or academic planning and quality assurance processes
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in continuous professional education, with experience in post-secondary program development and quality improvement
  • Experience working in postsecondary quality assurance, including familiarity with Post-secondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB) and Accreditation Canada within an Ontario Context
  • Excellent knowledge of educational systems, standards and best practices
  • Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/Match, Pivot tables
  • Experience in building and managing automated processes using Power Automate
  • PMP certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong report writing skills, government reporting experience preferred
  • Consensus-building skills; ability to promote excellent working relationships with both academic and non-academic staff and demonstrated ability in conflict resolution
  • Ability to anticipate challenging situations and proactively seek guidance from their direct manager or Michener leadership
  • Be flexible, adaptable, resourceful and helpful in daily operations by assuming various roles as needed; be readily available to complete project activities in a timely and efficient manner, while successfully maintaining fluctuating workload
  • Keep abreast of developments across the organization to ensure that the Manager and stakeholders are up to date on the status and progress of projects affecting operations
  • Solid experience in project management, design and development, and application of change management principles
  • Experience in identifying risks, potential problems and take action to course-correct as necessary during the life cycle of a project
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to promote excellent working relationships with academic and non-academic staff
  • Advanced listening, verbal, and written communication skills, and an ability to negotiate with various people to arrive at a consensus
  • Collaborative leadership skills and the ability to motivate a project team to complete a project/goal/task
  • Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize day-to-day tasks (including inquiries) with minimal oversight/intervention
  • Excellent computer software skills (especially MS Office, and data analysis programs)
