Program / Outreach Coordinator

Job Summary
Develop and coordinate a monthly calendar featuring daily activities promoting wellness, life skills, education, recreation, and employment readiness for shelter residents. Create engaging programming including movie nights, parenting classes, budgeting workshops, and community outings while building relationships with employers, schools, volunteers, and community partners. Represent the agency at outreach events and public presentations to expand resources for survivors. Assist residents through crisis intervention, de-escalation, and referrals while maintaining a trauma-informed approach. Track participation, document interactions, and ensure activities are safe and welcoming. Work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten (10) years of closely related experience
- Current, valid Texas driver's license
- Proof of auto liability insurance
- Ability to safely operate agency vehicles, including a van and a 14-passenger bus
- Ability to pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting, drug screen, and driver record check
- First Aid and CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or a related human services field
- One to two years of experience in social services, community outreach, program coordination, or a related field
- Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, homelessness, or other vulnerable populations
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience using browser-based graphic design software to create flyers, newsletters, or promotional materials
- Experience coordinating volunteers, community events, or outreach initiatives
