Job Summary
Mentor incubated and accelerated teams by providing expertise, identifying problems, and solving needs while taking detailed progress notes and creating reports. Review educational materials to recommend updates to the Program Director and adapt mentoring techniques based on specific partner requirements. Manage your own calendar, schedule, and Jira tickets autonomously, and handle outreach to external experts as required. Attend in-person events when necessary and collaborate closely with founders. Requires 5+ years in the video games industry, a background in launched game projects, and fluency in English. Preferred qualifications include multilingual skills, accelerator experience, and event organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in the video games industry as a Marketing Manager, Social Media Manager, or similar
- Proven track record of working on launched game projects
- Deep understanding of game business cycle, in particular community building and marketing
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Enjoys working closely with founders and teams
- Ability to learn, understand, and adapt quickly to new changes
- Proactive and autonomous working style
- Timezone location: GMT-0 to GMT+8
Desired Qualifications
- fluency in additional languages
- Experience organizing digital and in-person events
- Indie and/or AA marketing experience
- Experience running or participating in accelerator/incubator programs (Y Combinator, Techstars, or gaming-specific accelerators)
- Experience with Jira, Salesforce, or project management tools
- Network within the indie game development community
- Public speaking or workshop facilitation experience
- Multilingual; fluency in Arabic
