Program Manager - Tertiary

Job Summary

Coordinate day-to-day tertiary programs in remote PNG, ensuring activities align with approved workplans and resolving operational issues for Principals. Monitor enrollment, attendance, and retention trends while validating operational data for donor reporting and compliance. Manage logistics systems, staff travel, and inventory records, conducting spot checks to mitigate delivery risks. Support annual project cycles, safeguarding implementation, and incident reporting. Serve as the communication link between Principals and the Head of Tertiary, tracking performance and identifying training needs. Maintain relationships with DHERST, NDoE, and District Education Authorities to ensure program delivery meets policy standards. This role involves implementing active learning and research pathways for teachers and health workers, fostering critical thinking and employment opportunities within KTF's tertiary institutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have the right to work in PNG
  • This position may require travel domestically from time to time
  • A tertiary qualification in project management, international development, business administration, education, health, logistics or a related discipline. Or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • All appointments are subject to appropriate background checks and screening
  • the successful candidate will be required to get a Police Clearance Certificate

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong capability with the use of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, including intermediate document and spreadsheet skills
  • General level of technology skills (Gmail, Slack, Project Monday, Moodle Workplace)
  • Strong project coordination and administrative skills, with the ability to plan, organise and monitor project activities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in data management, reporting and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team
